Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Guwahati and Transfer to Kaziranga National Park

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, a representative from High Hills Tours and Travels will greet you and facilitate your transfer to Kaziranga National Park. This scenic journey will take approximately five hours, offering glimpses of the lush Assam landscape. Upon arrival, you will check into a resort for an overnight stay, preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 2 - Kaziranga Jungle Safari

Start your day with an early morning elephant ride, providing a close encounter with the diverse wildlife of Kaziranga National Park, including the iconic Indian Rhinoceros, wild water buffalo, and more. After breakfast, visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park to marvel at the region's rich floral diversity. In the evening, embark on a thrilling jeep safari in the central range of the park, enhancing your wildlife experience. Return to the resort for an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Transfer from Kaziranga National Park to Majuli Island

After a hearty breakfast, depart for Majuli Island, a unique cultural and natural gem of Assam. The journey involves a 2.5-hour drive followed by a one-hour ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River. Upon arrival, check into a traditionally built bamboo cottage, offering an authentic local experience. Spend the day exploring the tribal villages and visiting the famous satras (monasteries) of Majuli, including the Mask Makers Satra and Kamalabari Satra. Day 4 - Majuli Local Sightseeing and Transfer to Jorhat

Begin your day with a visit to Auniati Satra, another prominent monastery on Majuli Island. Explore more tribal villages and the scenic river beaches, and engage in bird watching at the freshwater lakes. In the afternoon, transfer to Jorhat, where you will check into your accommodation for an overnight stay, reflecting on the cultural richness experienced in Majuli.

Day 5 - Jorhat to Dibrugarh via Sivasagar

Start the day with a visit to Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can see the Hoolock Gibbons and Bengal Slow Loris in their natural habitat. Continue your journey to Sivasagar, the historical seat of the Ahom dynasty, to explore significant monuments such as Ranghar, Tolatol Ghar, and Sivadol Temple. Day 6 - Visit to Tai-Phakey Village and Transfer to Dibru-Saikhowa National Park
