Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be welcomed by our representative. Begin your scenic journey to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya, often referred to as the Scotland of the East. En route, take a refreshing halt at the picturesque Umiam Lake. Arrive in Shillong and check into your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure exploring local cafés or shopping at Police Bazaar.

After a hearty breakfast, explore the top attractions of Shillong. Begin with a visit to Shillong Peak, offering panoramic views of the city. Head to the three-tiered Elephant Falls, followed by a cultural visit to the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the heritage of the Northeast. Later in the day, drive to the majestic Laitlum Canyon, a breathtaking viewpoint often dubbed the “End of the Hills.” Return to the city by evening.

Check out after breakfast and drive towards Cherrapunjee, famous for its lush green hills, caves, and waterfalls. En route, stop at the scenic Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint. Upon reaching Cherrapunjee, explore the misty beauty of Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Visit the roaring Dainthlen Falls, the serene Kynrem Falls, and the offbeat yet enchanting Prut Waterfalls. Explore the stunning limestone formations inside Mawsmai Cave before retiring for the night.

Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Today is dedicated to the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge Trek in Nongriat village. Begin early in the morning with packed breakfast and descend more than 3,000 steps through thick jungles, natural pools, and hanging bridges to reach the Double Decker Bridge – a marvel of bioengineering and tradition. Optionally, extend the trek to Rainbow Falls. Return to Cherrapunjee by evening and relax after the trek.

Post breakfast, check out and head to the Indo-Bangladesh border village of Dawki. Take a serene boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River. Proceed to Mawlynnong, famed as Asia’s Cleanest Village. Walk through neat bamboo pathways, explore the Riwai Living Root Bridge, and climb the Sky View Tower for panoramic views of Bangladesh plains. Return to Shillong in the evening.
