Start with the panoramic heights of Mandala Top, famed for its awe-inspiring 108 white stupas and sweeping views of the Eastern Himalayas. Experience the serenity and spirituality this spot is known for, with endless opportunities for stunning photographs and quiet reflection.
Afterwards, descend to the lush landscapes of Sangti Valley. Surrounded by pine forests and alpine meadows, this tranquil valley is shaped by the clear waters of the Sangti River and is celebrated for its unspoiled beauty and seasonal visitation by the endangered Black-necked Cranes. Take a stroll near the river, relax in nature’s embrace, or simply enjoy the peace that defines this unique destination.
Return to Dirang to visit the peaceful Dirang Monastery, an important center for the region’s Buddhist community. Depending on your interests and time, you may also visit the nearby hot water springs, renowned for their natural wellness properties. End the day by browsing the local market or resting at your accommodation, surrounded by calming Himalayan vistas and mountain air. Overnight in Dirang.
This morning, climb higher into the Himalayas with a scenic drive toward Tawang. Pause at the revered Sela Pass, soaring at 13,700 feet, where snow-capped panoramas and chill breezes await. Stop at the pristine Sela Lake, whose turquoise waters reflect the sky and surrounding peaks—ideal for memorable photography.
