Day 1 :

Arrival and Transfer to Shillong

Arrive at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and meet our representative. Then transfer to Shillong. En-route visit Umium Lake - Also known as Barapani Lake and enjoy the serene view of the valley along the lake. You can also have local delicacies at the roadside stalls near the viewpoint. Then we shall proceed to visit the Golf Course - one of the oldest in India. Post visit, check in to your hotel. Then we shall proceed to visit Ward's Lake, Mary's Cathedral, All Saint's Cathedral and Lady Hydra Park.

By evening, we will visit Police Bazar and Bara Bazar where you can go for shopping and hangout among numerous Cafes, Pubs and Restaurant. Return back to hotel. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 2 :

Excursion to Jowai

Today morning, post breakfast, set out for a day trip to Jowai. In Jowai, we will visit Krangshuri Water Falls, Tyrshi Waterfall, Nartiang Monoliths and Durga Mandir. Then we shall transfer back to Shillong. Enroute, we will visit Grand Laitlum Canyon - made famous by the movie Rock On 2.
In the evening, you're free to visit the local market. Overnight.

Day 3 :

Transfer to Cherrapunjee

Today morning, post breakfast, we shall proceed to Cherrapunjee - 2nd Wettest Place on Earth. Enroute, we shall visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls - one of the major attractions of Shillong. On way to Cherrapunjee, we shall pass through Mawdok Dympep Valley. In Cherrapunjee, we will visit Seven Sister's Waterfall, Dainthelen Falls, Wei Sawdong Waterfall, Nohkalikai Fall, Eco Park and Mawsmai Cave. Post lunch, we shall visit Arwah Cave. Overnights in Shillong.

Day 4 :

Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek

This morning, post breakfast, drive to Tyrna Village, which is the starting point of the trek and the last stopping place for vehicles. A trek of over 3000+ steps, through sacred groves of trees and across narrow suspended bridges over rivers is a steep flight of steps which is narrow at certain junctions. The path passes by a number of houses with well-maintained bush fences. As the stairs conclude, the route is followed by three suspension bridges over rivers and a forest trail that succeeds it. Then the occasional ascents and descents on the forest trail continue until reaching the gates of Nongriat. The scenery of the place is beyond description. You will get amazed by walking over the roots which is quite scary at the beginning but once you start, it will end with great enthusiasm. The pleasant sound of the waterfall and the picturesque forest all around will provide you an altogether different experience with the mesmerizing feeling. Here the double-decker living root bridges overlook a series of naturally forming swimming pools. Soak in the natural pools below the bridge and relish the beautiful sight wondering about the making of the double decker root bridges. After spending some time at the bridge, move further ahead to the rainbow falls. On finally reaching the falls, one can feel the mist from the falls as they come close to it and as the name goes by one can witness the rainbow on the falls if the weather’s good. Then trek back to Tyrna and hop into the vehicle for a drive back to Cherrapunjee. We shall then move to Mawlynnong for overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Day Trip to Dawki and Mawlynnong & Transfer to Shillong

Today morning, post breakfast, we will travel to Dawki - The border town between India and Bangladesh. In Dawki, we will visit the border post and go for country boat ride in Umngot River - The river with transparent water. We will then proceed to Mawlynnong - Asia's Cleanest Village. You can take a stroll around the village to observe the cleanliness and interact with the locals for inspiration. Here, you can also have local delicacies in Lunch. Post lunch, take a walk to the Sky Bridge - Made of Bamboo - to have a bird's eye view of Bangladesh. You can also check out the Balancing Rock. Then we will proceed to return to Shillong. On way, we shall visit Riwai Village. Riwai Village host the Single Decker Living Root Bridge - one of the famous attractions. Evening, you're free for leisurely activities. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 6 :

Transfer from Shillong to Guwahati and Depart

Today morning, post breakfast, we shall transfer to Guwahati. Once in Guwahati, if time permits, we shall visit Silk Emporium, Assam State Museum, Assam State Zoo, Balaji Temple and Umananda Temple. Then we shall drop you off at Guwahati Railway Station / Airport for onward journey. Tour end.
