Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, begin your scenic drive to Shillong, also known as the “Scotland of the East.” En route, halt at the tranquil Umiam Lake (Barapani) for some breathtaking views and optional boating. Once you reach Shillong, check-in to your hotel. In the evening, explore Police Bazaar, Shillong’s bustling local market known for street food and handicrafts.

After breakfast, begin your Shillong sightseeing tour. Visit the majestic Shillong Peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Continue to the famous Elephant Falls, a three-tiered natural waterfall nestled in pine forest. Later, drive to the spectacular Laitlum Canyons, one of Meghalaya’s most photogenic spots with mist-laced valleys and endless greenery. You can also visit Wards Lake and Don Bosco Museum if time permits.

Today, proceed to Cherrapunjee (Sohra), a town famous for being the wettest place on Earth. En route, stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint for stunning views of the gorge below. In Cherrapunjee, visit the thunderous Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India. Explore the mysterious Mawsmai Caves, known for their limestone formations, and stop at Seven Sisters Falls, a panoramic multi-tiered waterfall. Conclude your day at Eco Park and check in to your hotel.

After breakfast, start early for a day trip to Dawki, located near the Indo-Bangladesh border. Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River, renowned for its transparent water. Next, proceed to Mawlynnong, dubbed the cleanest village in Asia. Walk through the beautifully maintained lanes, visit the Living Root Bridge, and take in panoramic views from the Sky Walk Bamboo Viewpoint. Later in the evening, return to Shillong.
