Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival at Guwahati / Shillong – Transfer to Shillong – Police Bazaar
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, begin your scenic drive towards Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya. As you ascend into the hills, the landscape transforms into pine-covered slopes and rolling valleys. En route, stop at Umiam Lake, a serene reservoir surrounded by lush greenery. Spend time enjoying the peaceful environment and capturing photographs.
Arrive in Shillong and check in to your hotel. The evening is free to explore local cafés or relax in the pleasant hill climate. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 2 - Laitlum Canyon – Shillong Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive towards the breathtaking Laitlum Canyon, one of Meghalaya’s most dramatic viewpoints, offering sweeping views of deep gorges, rolling hills, and clouds drifting through the valley. After spending time at the canyon, return to Shillong for local sightseeing. Visit the scenic Elephant Falls, followed by Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city. Later, enjoy a peaceful walk around Ward’s Lake and visit Lady Hydari Park. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3 - SShillong to Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple & Brahmaputra Experience
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, located atop Nilachal Hill and offering panoramic views of the Brahmaputra Valley.
In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River, where the golden hues of sunset reflect beautifully on the calm waters. After the cruise, check in to your hotel for overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 4 - Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on your departure schedule, you will be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, concluding a memorable Northeast India tour.
