Shillong Unplugged (4N Shillong 1N Guwahati)

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee, known for its dramatic cliffs, heavy rainfall, and breathtaking landscapes. The drive itself offers spectacular valley views and mist-covered hills.

En route, stop at Mawdok Valley Viewpoint, where deep green valleys stretch endlessly below. Continue to visit Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, cascading dramatically into a turquoise pool. Later, admire the panoramic Seven Sisters Falls flowing down layered limestone cliffs.

Explore the naturally formed Mawsmai Cave, where fascinating limestone formations create narrow passages and unique rock textures. Continue to Arwah Caves, known for ancient fossils and rock formations that offer insight into the region’s geological history. After a day filled with scenic wonders, return to Shillong for overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive towards Dawki near the India–Bangladesh border. The highlight here is the crystal-clear Umngot River, famous for its transparent waters where boats appear to float in mid-air. Enjoy an optional boat ride while admiring the surrounding hills and pristine environment.

After breakfast, drive to Laitlum Canyon, one of Meghalaya’s most dramatic viewpoints. The canyon offers sweeping views of deep gorges, winding trails, and endless rolling hills. Spend time enjoying the serenity and breathtaking scenery.

Return to Shillong for local sightseeing. Visit Elephant Falls, a beautiful multi-tiered waterfall set amidst greenery. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, located atop Nilachal Hill and offering panoramic views of the Brahmaputra Valley.

In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River, where the golden hues of sunset reflect beautifully on the calm waters. After the cruise, check in to your hotel for overnight stay in Guwahati.
