Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival at Kaziranga National Park
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be greeted by our representative. After a warm welcome, embark on a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, which is approximately 240 kilometers from Guwahati. As you travel, enjoy the picturesque landscapes and the serene environment of Assam.
Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its significant population of one-horned Indian rhinoceroses. Spanning around 430 square kilometers, the park is also home to tigers, elephants, wild water buffalo, and a variety of bird species. The park's landscape features tall elephant grass, marshlands, and dense tropical forests, with the Brahmaputra River flowing nearby. Visitors can explore the park through jeep and elephant safaris and experience the local culture by visiting nearby villages.
Upon arrival at Kaziranga, check in to your hotel and unwind. The evening is free for leisure, allowing you to explore the surroundings or simply relax. Overnight stay in Kaziranga National Park.
Day 2 - Jungle Safari
Start your day early with a refreshing cup of Assam Tea before heading to the riding point for an exhilarating elephant safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga. This early morning safari offers a unique opportunity to observe the park's wildlife up close, including the famous one-horned rhinoceros, from a safe yet intimate distance. After the elephant safari, return to the resort for breakfast.
Later, drive to the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park for a thrilling jeep safari. The Central Range is a prime zone for ecotourism, offering spectacular sightings of rhinos grazing in the large grasslands, herds of elephants with their adorable calves, and various other species of flora and fauna. The entry gate to this zone is conveniently located about two kilometers from the National Highway, passing through the village of Kohora. This jeep safari will allow you to experience the rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes of Kaziranga.
After the safari, return to your hotel for an overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.
Day 3 - Departure
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and prepare for your journey back to Guwahati. Enjoy the scenic drive as you reflect on the memorable experiences of your Kaziranga adventure. Upon arrival in Guwahati, our representative will drop you off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, marking the end of your tour with High Hills Tours and Travels.
