Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Guwahati - Transfer to Dirang

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and meet our representative. Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India, is known for its rich culture and natural beauty.

 

From Guwahati, you will be transferred to Dirang, a picturesque town in Arunachal Pradesh. En route, enjoy the scenic drive through lush greenery and majestic mountains. Stop at Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, a haven for orchid lovers, and Tippi Orchid Center, where you can see a variety of orchid species.

 

After reaching Dirang, check-in at the hotel and relax. Dirang is known for its serene environment and Monpa tribal culture. Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 2 - Transfer from Dirang to Tawang

After breakfast, proceed to Tawang, one of the most scenic destinations in Arunachal Pradesh. En route, stop at the hot springs near Dirang, known for their therapeutic properties. Continue your journey and pass through the stunning Sela Pass, situated at an altitude of 13,800 feet. Admire the breathtaking views of Sela Lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Visit Jaswantgarh War Memorial, dedicated to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army.

 

Proceed towards Tawang, enjoying the scenic beauty of the region. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 3 - Tawang Local Sightseeing

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and embark on a sightseeing tour of Tawang. Visit the famous Tawang Monastery, a 400-year-old Buddhist monastery and the largest monastery in India. Explore Unni-Gompa, a women's monastery known for its serene ambiance. Visit Urgelling, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, and gain insights into the life of the spiritual leader. In the evening, enjoy a mesmerizing light and sound show at Tawang.

 

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 4 - Bumla Pass Excursion

Today, you will embark on an excursion to Bumla Pass, situated at an altitude of 15,400 feet on the Indo-China border. Bumla Pass offers panoramic views of the snow-clad mountains and is a pristine location surrounded by natural beauty. Please note that a permit is required to visit Bumla Pass, which can be obtained from the DC office in Tawang.

 

Return to Tawang in the evening and relax. Overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 5 - Tawang to Bomdila

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel in Tawang and proceed to Bomdila. Bomdila is known for its scenic landscapes, Buddhist monasteries, and apple orchards. Enroute, visit Kiwi Garden, where you can see kiwi fruits being cultivated. Explore Bomdila Monastery, a major Buddhist monastery in the region, known for its stunning architecture and religious significance.

 

Visit the Apple Orchards and Carpet Craft Center to witness the local craftsmanship. Also, visit the Ethnographic Museum to learn about the culture and traditions of the region. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 6 - Bomdila to Kaziranga National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros. Kaziranga is also a Tiger Reserve and houses a variety of wildlife species. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Day 7 - Kaziranga Jungle Safari & Transfer to Guwahati

Early morning, embark on an Elephant Safari at the Western Range (Bagori Range) of Kaziranga National Park. Witness the rich biodiversity of the park, including rhinoceros, tigers, elephants, and various bird species. After the safari, return to the resort for breakfast. Later, go for a Jeep Safari in the central range (Kohora Range) of the park. After the safari, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati. On reaching Guwahati, check-in at the hotel and relax.

Day 8 - Guwahati Local Sightseeing - Departure

After breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple, a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya. Enjoy a ferry ride to Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra River.

 

Visit the Assam Silk Emporium to buy traditional Assamese silk products. Explore the Assam State Museum, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Assam. Also, visit Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural complex dedicated to the great Assamese saint and scholar Srimanta Sankardev.

 

After sightseeing, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
