These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website https://highhills.co.in and all bookings made with Agea Journeys Private Limited (also known as Agea Holidays), a travel agency based in Guwahati, Assam, India.
By using our website or making a booking with us, you agree to these terms.
1. About Us
Agea Journeys is a travel agency specializing in Northeast India tours, domestic holidays, and selected international packages. We act as an intermediary between you and various service providers (hotels, airlines, transport companies, guides, etc.).
2. Booking Process
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- A booking is confirmed only after we issue a written confirmation (via email or WhatsApp) and you have paid the required deposit or full amount.
- The price quoted at the time of booking is the price you pay, unless there are government taxes, fuel surcharges, visa fees, or currency fluctuations that are explicitly mentioned as variable.
- You must provide accurate personal details (full name as per passport/ID, contact number, email, age of travellers, any special requirements).
- We are not responsible for errors in details provided by you.
3. Payment Terms
- A minimum deposit of 30–50% is required to confirm most bookings (exact percentage shown during enquiry/quotation).
- Full payment is due 30–45 days before travel (varies by package – will be clearly stated in your confirmation).
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, UPI, or online payment gateway.
- All bank charges / transaction fees are to be borne by the customer.
- We do not store your full card details.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges apply as follows (unless a different policy is mentioned in your specific package confirmation):
For land packages / Northeast India & domestic tours:
- Cancellation received more than 45 days before travel → 10% of package cost (or minimum ₹5,000 per person)
- 44 to 31 days before travel → 25% of package cost
- 30 to 16 days before travel → 50% of package cost
- 15 to 8 days before travel → 75% of package cost
- 7 days or less before travel / no-show → 100% (no refund)
For flight-inclusive packages or international tours:
- Airline cancellation charges + our processing fee apply (usually higher and non-refundable once ticket is issued).
- Flight tickets are generally non-refundable / have very strict cancellation rules once issued.
Special note:
- If we have to cancel due to force majeure (natural disasters, government restrictions, war, pandemics, etc.), we will offer credit note / rescheduling where possible. Refunds (if any) will be after deduction of actual non-recoverable costs.
- No refund for unused services (missed meals, sightseeing, hotel nights, etc.) due to late arrival, early departure, or personal reasons.
5. Changes / Amendments by Customer
- Any change in travel date, name, number of people, or itinerary requested by you is treated as cancellation + new booking.
- Amendment charges: ₹2,000–₹5,000 per person + any difference in price + supplier charges.
6. Changes / Amendments by Us
- We reserve the right to change hotels, transport, itinerary, or guides of similar or higher standard if necessary (due to overbooking, weather, permits, etc.).
- If a major change occurs (e.g. significant reduction in services), we will inform you and offer alternatives or refund of the affected portion.
7. Travel Documents & Responsibility
- It is your responsibility to have valid passport, visa (if required), vaccinations, travel insurance, and all necessary documents.
- We provide assistance with visa documentation where mentioned, but approval is solely at the discretion of the embassy/consulate.
- We are not liable for denied boarding, denied visa, denied entry, or any consequence arising from missing/invalid documents.
8. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that every traveller purchases comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and activities (especially adventure/trekking tours).
9. Liability
- Agea Journeys acts only as a facilitator. We are not responsible for the acts/omissions of third-party service providers (airlines, hotels, guides, drivers, etc.).
- We are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by weather, strikes, mechanical breakdown, government action, terrorism, natural disasters, or any event beyond our reasonable control.
- Our maximum liability (if any) will not exceed the amount you paid us for the affected services.
10. Complaints
If you have any complaint during the tour, please inform your tour manager/guide immediately so we can try to resolve it. Post-tour complaints must be raised in writing within 14 days of return.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our control (acts of God, war, riot, pandemic, government orders, etc.).
12. Privacy
Your personal data is handled as per our Privacy Policy (available on the website).
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Guwahati, Assam.
